Q: How do I move Jack?
A: To move Jack around the level slide your finger on the screen in the direction you want Jack to move. To move Jack to the right, slide your finger from the left side to the right side of the screen. When you take your finger off the screen or Jack runs into an obstacle, he will stop moving.
Q: How do I trap an animal?
A: To trap an animal Jack must be standing still. Tap the screen 4 times to set a trap. The animal will be caught when it walks into the trap.
Q: How do I cage an animal?
A: To cage an animal, it must be stuck in a trap and Jack must be standing next to it. Tap the animal 4 times to build a cage. The cage will go off screen if you are successful.
Q: Why are the animals not moving anymore?
A: If Jack stands in one spot for too long, the animals will get bored and stop moving. When Jack moves around a bit, the animals should start moving again.
Q: I can’t set any more traps! Why? (Or: Why can’t I set anymore traps?)
A: Jack can only set 3 traps at a time. To set a new one you must either trap an animal or unset one of the traps currently on screen. You can unset traps without animals in it by tapping it 4 times.
Q: How many levels are there in Ace Yeti Trapper?
A: There are 40 levels in all through out 4 different locations. Try to see them all!
Q: What kinds of animals are in AYT?
A: There are 4 types of animals to trap in AYT including Yaks, Monkeys, Snow Leopards and the elusive Yeti.
Q: Can I save a game to play later?
A: Yes. The game will save your progress automatically if you press the Home button on your device. You can also save progress by tapping the pause icon in the upper left corner of the gameplay screen. There is an option to Save/End the game in the pause menu.
Q: How do I restart a saved game?
A: Selecting Play on the main menu will bring up the options to Start a New Game or Continue your saved game.
Q: What do the gems do?
A: In the levels you may see gems appearing. Collecting gems will boost your score. Some gems have an affect on the animals in a level. A purple gem only boosts your score. A Yellow gem will slow down fast animals. A Red gem will freeze animals in place. A Green gem will give Jack a speed boost.
Q: How do I get an extra life?
A: When you earn 10,000 points in a level you are awarded with an extra life.
Q: Jack lost a life but did not collide with any animals. What happened?
A: Jack can lose a life when the timer in the upper left reaches zero. Make sure you keep track of how much time you have left.
Q: How do I earn stars?
A: You can earn a star every 10 levels by not getting any Game Overs during game play. Try to beat the game with 4 stars for an exciting reward.
Q: What achievements can I earn in AYT?
A: During game play you can earn achievements for high scores, completing levels and earning stars. You will be asked if you want to post these to Facebook. See more about Facebook below.
Q: What is the Name Entry for?
A: The name entry associates your name with a save file which will keep track of your scores and achievements you make on the device.
Q: How do I change accounts?
A: On the main menu, tap the name of the user you are currently logged in under. This will take you to the Select Player screen where you can tap a different account name to change your player.
Q: How many accounts can I have on a device?
A: You can have up to three names on a device at a time.
Q: How do I add a new account?
A: On the Select Player screen, tap “Create New” on an available user slot. Enter in the new user name and then select the account to use the new player. Note: If you do not see “Create New” on an any of the 3 available user slots, you will need to delete an existing account in order to create a new account (see “How do I remove a Name” below).
Q: How do I remove an account?
A: On the Select Player screen, tap the delete control button (appears as a red negative symbol to the left on the account names) and then tap the Delete button. This will remove the account from the device and erase all the achievements that were earned. However, high scores that were achieved with a deleted account will remain.
Q: What is the blue “f” button on the main menu next to the account name?
A: This button will activate a screen where you can log in to your Facebook account. Doing so will grant Ace Yeti Trapper permission to post achievements to your wall. See “How do I log into Facebook within Ace Yeti Trapper” below for more information.
Q: Why is the Facebook icon gray?
A: The icon is gray when you are currently logged in under a valid Facebook account.
